Induction

If you are a contractor or an employee who is required to hold a RIW card, you must have a valid Rail Industry Worker card with the SA Rail Commissioner - Operator Job Role applied.

The minimum requirements for this Job Role are:

• TLIF0020 (or equivalent) – Safely Access the Rail Corridor (SARC) – completed with an external Registered Training Organisation

• SA Rail Commissioner Rail Safety Induction (E-learning only)

Please complete the SA Rail Commissioner Rail Safety Induction through the RIW E-Learning portal. Once completed, this certificate will be automatically uploaded to your RIW profile.

If you do not require a RIW card but are required to complete the Rail Safety Induction, please complete this Induction through the RIW Service Request E-Learning portal, select “E-Learning” followed by “E-learning request for non RIW cardholder”.

Upon completion, you will be emailed a Rail Safety Induction Card as evidence of completing this training which must be presented upon request.

(Please note this card cannot be uploaded into RIW, if you have an RIW card, please complete the induction via the RIW E-Learning portal.)

The induction will take approximately 60 minutes to complete and includes quizzes to confirm your understanding, audio is required for this training.
