Adelaide

In South Australia, Keolis is proud to be the contracted maintenance provider for the Adelaide Metropolitan Passenger Rail Network through to 2035. We are responsible for keeping the network safe, reliable, and resilient for the communities who rely on it every day.

Our role covers the full maintenance and asset management lifecycle of Adelaide Metro’s rail infrastructure and systems. This includes track and civil infrastructure, signalling and train control systems, overhead wiring and traction power, rolling stock engineering and maintenance, as well as the management and upkeep of depots and associated facilities.

Using a structured and data-informed asset management approach, we apply preventative and predicative maintenance practices to optimise performance and extend asset life. By monitoring asset condition and analysing network performance, we help minimise disruption, improve reliability, and deliver long-term value for the South Australian Government.

Our Adelaide-based team includes experienced engineers, technicians, and rail specialists who understand the demands of working within in a live passenger rail environment. Safety is embedded in everything we do, guided by our Zero Harm philosophy and supported by strong compliance, risk management and system assurance processes aligned with national rail safety standards.

Beyond day-to-day maintenance, Keolis Australia and New Zealand brings the capability to support major renewals, upgrades and network enhancements in partnership with the South Australian Government. By combining global rail expertise with strong local delivery capability, we contribute to the continued modernisation of Adelaide’s rail system—supporting growing patronage, improving service reliability and strengthening long-term network sustainability.

As a significant employer within South Australia’s rail sector, we are committed to developing local capability through training, apprenticeships and industry partnerships. By investing in our people and strengthening the local supply chain, we help ensure Adelaide’s rail network remains safe, skilled and ready to meet future transport needs.
